First IRS, Now Dept. Of Education Buying Shotguns?

Earlier I posted about the IRS requisition of new shotguns. Not to be outdone, the Dept. of Edu. has decided to buy a few (27 to be exact) Remington model 870 police tactical shotguns.
Now I can at least understand why the IRS would be buying them. But the Dept. of Edu.? What in the hell would the public school system need 27 Remington 870's for?

(**Note, Part 2 A thought just occurred to me. Could it be that the government is getting intelligence on a possible terrorist attack on a school district? The Islamo-fascists did that in Russia with terrible results. Just speculation on my part. I cannot for the life of me think of any other reason why the Dept. of Edu. would need weapons like this, unless they're bracing for Beslan style attack here. More information on the Beslan school attack in Russia and it's implications in America.

  1. I am not against the training and arming of school personnel. Unfortunately, we are at a time when we cannot trust our Administration in Washington. Always watch out for the other shoe dropping, that's all I'm saying.
