All Hollows Eve....

Happy Halloween to all. We had a relatively short trek for candy being that it's freezing cold out, never the less everyone had a blast. Halloween is usually extra awesome in Michigan. At this time of year the trees look like some kind of psychedelic hippy LSD flash back. Add hundreds of little kids running around in all sorts of costumes and what you end up with is a great way to spend a Saturday evening. Hope your Halloween was as fun as ours.

That is all.

The God King Cometh

Not exactly Lord Leto, but God-king none the less for progressive zombies everywhere. Although the constant changing does strike a parallel.

A Collection Of Commies......

This one's kind of a gimmee ain't it?

You've come a long way progressives. Axelwad must have been trying to emulate the look, that can't be an accident.

(Edit: Thanks to Cal over at the TVPC boards for finding these gems.)

The Newest Generation UAV?

Found this little beauty over at Defense Tech. Is it just me or does this not look just like the flying hunter-killers from the last Terminator movie? Too cool.

(~Edit: Some comments on this post at Defense Tech claim this is an old project and has been scrubbed. May be true. I don't know. But it's cool as hell anyways:)

A Simple Choice After All

This is older and a lot has changed since then. Never the less, these words still ring true.

The question is not one of misguided policy. It's a question of right or wrong, good or evil. I would submit, that those who question the righteousness of the American Republic are the misguided. Ours is a system created by man, and as Levin said, "As man is imperfect, so are his creations."
The quest isn't for perfection, for a false utopia. It's a quest for the good, for the light over the dark. Can anyone really say that there's been a greater good in all of human history than America? What has done more to free the oppressed, to lift the downtrodden, and to spread liberty?
It is a simple choice after all. Good or evil. Light or darkness. It's not relative, evil is evil. America should never cringe from confronting it.

Now He's Caesar? Give Us Bread And Circuses!

First Lincoln and now Caesar ?

Bread and circuses, health care and welfare, what's the difference? They're gonna throw in a free cell phone. Bet the Romans didn't get that kind of entitghtlement!
I know it's not a stunning or even a really important piece. To be honest with you, I was just looking for an excuse to use this picture.

P.S. Caesar you are not Obama, neither Julius nor Octavian. Although you area a bit of an Alcibiades, (Minus the balls).

The Republican Party Continues to Blow it Big Time

If there's any major political shift next fall, I doubt it will because of Republican innovation. It will be because of the incredible ineptitude of the current admin. It's unfortunate, but if the Republicans can't find their center in the post-Bush era then we'll continue to have to choose between the lesser of two evils. Doesn't have to be that way. The Republican party can still discover itself before it's two late.

Where they are now is a recipe for future disasters. Graham supporting Kerry's cap-n-trade BS, Old man Newt supporting the non-conservative candidate in local New York politics, pro-Obama care RINO's, Chairman Steele pissing in the party good ole boys Wheaties. New Jersey Republican Gubernatorial candidate spouting of pro-gun control BS, etc.....

The Republican party is becoming more and more like the schizophrenic, multi-personalitied Democratic consortium of victims and special interests.

The fractured insanity of the democratic party was united in it's hatred for Bush & Co. for most of the last eight years. The Repubs need to take a step back, decide who they are, who their leaders are and what they stand for.

I for one am tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.

In Everything Bush, He Surpases.....

Remember all the bru-ha-ha made about President Bush playing golf during the war? Seems to me he quit playing because he thought it gave a bad impression while we were in the middle of two wars.
From the Politico:

"President Barack Obama has only been in office for just over nine months, but he's already hit the links as much as President Bush did in over two years.
CBS' Mark Knoller — an unofficial documentarian and statistician of all things White House-related — wrote on his Twitter feed that, "Today - Obama ties Pres. Bush in the number of rounds of golf played in office: 24.
Took Bush 2 yrs & 10 months.(~
Now, check out THIS spin to finish it out: )This news comes on the heels of today's news that Obama played golf with a woman — chief domestic policy adviser Melody Barnes — for the first time since taking office."

!!!!So, I guess it looks totally different when Obama hits the links in the middle of two wars, cause, you know, he just golfed with a woman for the first time.

How progressive.......

A Running List

I'm thinking about keeping a running list of things that the Uber-POTUS (!) does that I think were wise things to do. The list has been fairly small up to this point. Every so often he does one right in my eyes and I've got no problem giving credit where it's due.
This is one of the great things about being an Independent. You can say "Good job" to either side without feeling guilty about it. That brings us to this weeks ata boy.

The Obama admin released a memo late Friday night declaring a national emergency over the spread of the H1N1 "swine Flu". Why is this a wise thing to do?

Swine flu is a rapidly absorbed and relatively fast acting strain of influenza. It's viable for up to eight hours on most surfaces, making it especially virulent. That means it spreads quickly and easily and it lives on almost anything for a significant period of time.
Swine flu coverage, like most everything out of the press, has bordered on mass psychosis. People a freaking out, big-time. Swine flu isn't the most deadly by a long shot. However, the constant regurgitation of swine flu related BS has given the impression that we are all, quite literally, going to die. Soon.

In light of this, the grand ayatollah of progressive liberalism made a smart decision and let the national emergency memo go late Friday night. The national emergency allows the medical apparatus do things like sectioned quarantine, (in medical facilities) and prioritize treatment for children and the elderly over a relatively mild case in a healthy adult. Putting this out there ala Van Jones in the middle of the "off news cycle" ensured that most people didn't hear about it and undoubtedly quashed the inevitable mass panic that would have accompanied a Monday, mid-afternoon announcement.
So we'll add this to the short list of things BHzerO has done right:
1.) Told young colored kids to pull there pants up. "Come on man, no one wants to see that...."
2.) Called kayne west a "Jackass".
3.) Released the H1N1 announcement at the least damaging time.
I think there was another one, but I honestly can't remember it...
