This Is A Real Hassle, But I Completely Understand
Obama's election sent gun owners into the red zone. Applications for fire arms at the federal level went up by more than 25% from January to May alone. Consequently, ammunition has become damn near impossible to find. If you are looking for a popular caliber, good luck.
The ammo market has definitely been stimulated. But somehow I doubt this was the "stimulus" obama was looking for:
"NEW ORLEANS – Bullet-makers are working around the clock, seven days a week, and still can't keep up with the nation's demand for ammunition."
Americans are wise to skip the range and stockpile ammo and weapons. There may not be anything openly moving through the Congress right now, but you better believe that whatever the outcome of nationalized health care and cap-n-trade, obama will address what he calls, "Common sense" gun laws before he finally gets gone.
